Your ticket includes an Invitation to the Tour Reception where you will meet all the artists. Each artist has graciously submitted a selection of thier work to be sold, with 30 % of the proceeds donated to art education programs and scholarships of SFV art students. Reception attendees will choose the Peoples Choice Award.
As a result of the generosity of Rickey Gelb of the Gelb Group, the SFVAC now meets in the Air Business Center building at 7100 Hayvenhurst Avenue near the Van Nuys airport (Map). The meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the lower level conference room. Everyone is invited.
The advisory committees, which originated in 2005, will resume their efforts. The committees established include VAST, Performing Arts, Music, Education and Arts Advocacy/Community Partnerships. Our major planning effort is for the 2010 Valley Artists Studio Tour. Also SFVAC continue to research the creation of an online Arts and Cultural Resource Directory for valley residents to use when looking for local arts related services and information.
The Westfield Topanga has selected the dates for our exhibit at the Topanga Mall. This is a very exciting piece to our VAST Tour.
The selected dates are Saturday, September 24th and Sunday, September 25th. Twenty Four artists from the VAST 2011 Tour in October will be represented at the Westfield Topanga to display thier works from 12:00 pm-3:00 pm.
Tickets will be on sale for the 2011 VAST Tour to be held on October 1st & 2nd,2011 during the Preview.

Kathy Cryer of The Great Frame Up has invited all the VAST 2011 artist to be displayed at her store with three separate artist receptions to help promote our tour. The Great Frame Up is one of our ticket venues also.
The dates for the receptions are Saturdays: September 10th, 17th & 24th . The art will be displayed in groups of Eight each week at the below Venue from 1:00 pm to 5:00pm :

The San Fernando Valley Arts Council will present the 2011 Valley Artists Studio Tour. The Public will be invited to visit the studios of 24 local San Fernando Valley fine artists. On October 1 and 2, during this self-guided tour, you’ll meet the original artists, get a rare inside glimpse into their studios and buy directly from the creative source. Start collecting from you favorite Valley artists. This will be a ticketed event with proceeds going to local arts causes.
Hours for the tour: 10:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday and 10:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday.
Reception and Art Sale: Saturday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Tickets good for both days, will be $20 in advance and $25 on the days of the event.
